Most comfort problems come down to size, not style. These are the ones that come up again and again.
1. Trusting an old size
Bodies change and sizes change with them. Measure again every six months.
2. A loose band with a small cup
The most common mistake of all. If the band rides up at the back, go down a band size and up a cup.
3. Tightening the straps to make up for support
Support comes from the band. Tight straps leave marks on your shoulders and solve nothing.
4. Starting on the tightest hook
Begin on the loosest one. Fabric relaxes with wear, and you want room to tighten later.
5. Expecting one size across every style
Cuts differ from style to style. Try the neighbouring size before ruling out a piece you like.
6. Choosing briefs by the number alone
The cut changes everything: a high waist needs a different size from a low-rise one.
